📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Go version 1.23.0 or higher
• Git installed on the system
• Permission to access Git repositories

Installation Steps

1️⃣ Install the Package

go install github.com/wricardo/git-mcp@latest

2️⃣ Configure MCP Client Settings

Add the following configuration to your MCP settings:

🔹 git-log

Displays the Git commit history, including commit hashes, authors, dates, and messages.

Parameters:

• limit (Optional): The number of commits to display (Default: 10)

🔹 git-changed-files

Lists the file changes from the HEAD back a specified number of commits.

Parameters:

• commits_back (Required): The number of commits to go back from the HEAD

🔹 git-file-diff

Views the detailed differences of a specific file between different commits.

Parameters:

• file_path (Required): The path of the file to view the differences
