🚀 SearXNG MCP Server

An implementation of the MCP Server integrating the SearxNG API, providing web search functionality.

• Web Search: General queries, news, and articles with pagination.
• Pagination: Options to control the number of results per page and result counting.

🛠️ Tools

• searxng_web_search
  • Perform web searches with pagination.
  • Input:
    • query (string): Search term.
    • count (number, optional): Number of results per page (default 20).
    • offset (number, optional): Pagination offset (default 0).

⚙️ Configuration

Set SEARXNG_URL

1. Select a SearxNG instance from the list of public instances, or use a local environment.
2. Set the SEARXNG_URL environment variable to the instance URL.
3. The default value of SEARXNG_URL is http://localhost:8080.

Usage with Claude Desktop

Installation via Smithery

To automatically install the SearxNG Server for Claude Desktop, use Smithery:
