🚀 Introduction to the Native MCP System and Its Implementation Plan

This project aims to implement a native Multi-Component Platform (MCP) system. Designed with a component-based architecture, it includes the following core modules:

1. Native Host: Responsible for managing various service components and providing a unified interface for interaction.
2. Client: Used for communication and operations with the MCP system.
3. Server: Implements specific business logic and functions.

System Basic Composition

1. MCP Server

• Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic service support.
  • Implement the communication mechanism between components.
  • Define a unified calling specification.

2. Server Components

• Example Implementations:
  • cpp-time: Provides time-related services, including getting the current time, waiting for a specified duration, etc.
  • server-test: Used for testing network functions, supporting getting available IP addresses and sending data to a specified IP.

Technical Dependencies

• Qt Framework (6.8):

  • Provides a cross-platform application development framework.
  • Supports basic functions such as network communication and thread management.

• cpp-httplib:

  • A simple and easy-to-use C++ HTTP server library.
  • Used to quickly build HTTP interface services.

📦 Installation

Compilation Environment Requirements

1. CMake

   # Check the cmake version
   cmake --version
   

2. Visual Studio 2022 Build Tools
3. vcpkg Dependency Management Tool:

   # Install qt6-base and cpp-httplib
   vcpkg install qt6-base cpp-httplib
   

Building Steps

# Execute the following commands in the project root directory:
mkdir build && cd build
cmake ..
cmake --build .

⚠️ Important Note

After compilation, the executable files will be generated in the ./bin directory.
