📦 Installation

Environment Requirements

• Go 1.23.5 or higher
• OpenAI API Key

Set Environment Variables

Before using the server, set your OpenAI API key:

export OPENAI_API_KEY="Your OpenAI API Key"

Compilation

If you need to re - compile the project:

go build -o bin/imagegen-go main/*.go

Basic Usage

The project provides several test scripts for debugging the MCP server:

1. Basic Test

Run the basic test, including initialization, getting the tool list, and generating an image:

./test_mcp.sh

2. Detailed Debugging

Run detailed debugging and save logs and responses to files:

./debug_mcp.sh

3. Interactive Test

Run an interactive test, allowing you to input custom prompts:

./interactive_test.sh

4. Single Request Test

Test a single request:

# Initialization request
./test_single_request.sh init

# Get the tool list
./test_single_request.sh list

# Generate an image

MCP Protocol

MCP is a JSON - RPC 2.0 - based protocol for communication between models and tools. This server implements the following MCP methods:

• initialize - Initialize the server
• tools/list - Get the list of available tools
• tools/call - Call a tool (generate an image)
• resources/list - Get the list of available resources
• prompts/list - Get the list of available prompts

Image Generation Tool

This server provides a tool named generate - image for generating images. The parameters are as follows:

Debugging Steps

1. Set Environment Variables:

   export OPENAI_API_KEY="Your OpenAI API Key"
   

2. Run the Initialization Request:

   ./test_single_request.sh init
   

3. Get the Tool List:

   ./test_single_request.sh list
   

4. Generate an Image:

   ./test_single_request.sh generate "Your prompt" [width] [height]
   

5. View Logs:

   cat logs/single_request_*.log
