Local Development

1. Create a .env file in the root directory with the following variables:

   • BASE_URL: The URL address of the Kalshi API.
   • KALSHI_API_KEY: The Kalshi API key for the corresponding environment.
   • KALSHI_PRIVATE_KEY_PATH: The path to the file containing your Kalshi RSA private key.

2. Install the dependencies using uv pip install -e .. You can install the development dependencies using uv pip install -e .[dev].

3. Start the server using uv run start.

Obtaining Kalshi API Credentials

To obtain Kalshi API credentials, follow the instructions here.

Obtaining a Test Account

You may want to use the server with a Kalshi test account. To get a test account, follow the instructions here.

Then, set BASE_URL=https://demo-api.kalshi.co for this MCP server and update your KALSHI_API_KEY and KALSHI_PRIVATE_KEY_PATH to point to the credentials generated in the test environment.

UVX

To run in the MCP monitor:
