🚀 MCP Server - Asana Integration Guide

This document details the configuration and usage of the MCP (Multi-Channel Platform) server for integration with the Asana platform. Through this guide, you'll be able to access Asana's API features and perform project management and task collaboration in Claude Desktop.

🚀 Quick Start

Create an Asana Account

1. Visit Asana.
2. Click "Sign up" to start creating your account.

Obtain an Asana Access Token

• You can generate a personal access token via the Asana Developer Console:
  • After logging in, visit: https://app.asana.com/0/my-apps.

Configure Claude Desktop

Add the following configuration to your claude_desktop_config.json file:

Troubleshooting

If you encounter permission errors:

Test Local Changes Using the MCP Inspector Tool

npm run inspector

This will launch the client interface, which by default occupies port 5173, and the server occupies port 3000 by default. If these ports are already in use, use the following command to specify different ports:

CLIENT_PORT=5009 SERVER_PORT=3009 npm run inspector
