🚀 TRELLIS Blender Add-on

An add-on that integrates the 3D generation capabilities of TRELLIS into Blender. TRELLIS is a SOTA AIGC model for text-to-3D and image-to-3D.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Blender 3.6.0 or higher
• Run the TRELLIS API server (see my TRELLIS fork)

Enable the add-on

1. Download the add-on files (clone this repository).
2. In Blender, go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
3. Click "Install" and select the trellis_for_blender.py file.
4. Enable the add-on by checking the checkbox next to "3D View: TRELLIS".

Native workflow

1. Access the panel (open the 3D viewport, press n to open the sidebar) and find TRELLIS.
2. (Optional) Select an object in the scene and choose an image as the conditional input.
3. Adjust the generation parameters (empirically, fewer steps can be used).
4. The add-on will upload the selected object and image/text to the API backend.
5. Once completed, the model can be downloaded and imported into the scene.

You can view historical requests in the main panel.

MCP workflow

1. Access the panel (open the 3D viewport, press n to open the sidebar), find TRELLIS, and click Start MCP server.
2. Open Claude/Cursor/Windsurf and paste the following configuration:

  • "No file selected": Please select an input image.
  • "API connection error": Check if the API server is running.
  • "Processing error": Check the API server logs for detailed information.
