🚀 Quick Start

The Medical Report Analyzer is a bilingual web - application that leverages AI to provide comprehensive medical analysis. Here's how to get started:

Prerequisites

1. Python 3.8 or higher.
2. Tesseract OCR installed.
3. Ollama and the deepseek - r1:14b model installed.

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone <repository-url>
cd medical-report-analyzer

2. Create a virtual environment:

python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate  # On Windows: venv\Scripts\activate

3. Install dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt

4. Install Tesseract OCR:

   • Windows: Download and install from [Tesseract GitHub](https://github.com/UB - Mannheim/tesseract/wiki).
   • Linux: sudo apt - get install tesseract - ocr.
   • Mac: brew install tesseract.

5. Install and run Ollama:

   • Refer to Ollama.
   • Pull the model: ollama pull deepseek - r1:14b.

Configuration

1. Set the Tesseract path in app.py:

pytesseract.pytesseract.tesseract_cmd = r'C:\Program Files\Tesseract - OCR\tesseract.exe'  # Adjust the path as needed

2. Ensure Ollama is running the deepseek - r1:14b model:

ollama run deepseek - r1:14b

Running the Application

1. Start the Flask server:

python app.py

2. Open your browser and navigate to:

http://localhost:5000

💻 Usage Examples

Analyzing a Medical Report

1. Click on the "Report Analysis" tab.
2. Upload a JPG or PDF file.
3. View the analysis results.
4. Optionally, translate the results to Bengali.

Analyzing Symptoms

1. Click on the "Symptom Analysis" tab.
2. Describe the symptoms in detail.
3. Click "Analyze Symptoms".
4. View the analysis and suggestions.

Getting Drug Information

1. Click on the "Drug Information" tab.
2. Enter the patient's age and gender.
3. Enter the drug name and dosage schedule.
4. Click "Analyze Drug".
5. View the detailed drug analysis.
