📦 Installation

Install MCPGod globally using npm:

npm install -g mcpgod

Verify the installation:

god --version

Or run it directly via npx:

npx -y mcpgod

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

Access the CLI using the command god (or npx -y mcpgod). Here are some common examples:

• Add a Server to a Client Add an MCP server to a specific client (e.g., Claude):

  god add @modelcontextprotocol/server-everything -c claude
  

• Specify Specific Tools for a Client Configure only selected tools when adding a server:

  god add @modelcontextprotocol/server-everything -c claude --tools=echo,add
  

• List Servers for a Client View all configured servers for a client:

  god list -c claude
  

• Remove a Server Remove a specific MCP server from a client's configuration:

  god remove @modelcontextprotocol/server-everything -c claude
  

• Run a Server Start an MCP server for a specified client:

  god run -c claude

Logging

All log files are stored in the ~/.config/mcpgod/logs directory, organized by date.

Development Guide

MCPGod is developed using the Oclif framework. To start local development, run the following commands:

cd mcpgod
npm install
