A TypeScript-based MCP server for Android Debug Bridge (ADB) control. This server enables AI assistants to interact with Android devices via ADB commands, offering the following capabilities:

Tools

1. Device control tools

   • connect_device: Connect to a device over the network
   • disconnect_device: Disconnect a network-connected device

2. Application management tools

   • install_app: Install an APK file
   • uninstall_app: Uninstall an installed application
   • start_app: Launch an application
   • stop_app: Force-stop an application

3. Device input tools

   • tap: Simulate a screen tap
   • swipe: Simulate a screen swipe
   • input_text: Input text
   • press_key: Simulate a key press
   • take_screenshot: Take a screenshot

Tips

• analyze_device: Analyze device status and specifications
• analyze_app_list: Analyze installed applications
• analyze_screen: Analyze the current screen content

📋 Prerequisites

• Node.js version 16 or higher
• Android Debug Bridge (ADB) installed and added to the PATH environment variable
• An Android device with USB debugging enabled, or a device supporting network ADB

💻 Development

Install dependencies:

npm install

Build the server:

npm run build

Development environment with automatic rebuild:

npm run watch

📦 Installation

To use in Claude Desktop, add the following server configuration:

On MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json On Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Debugging

Since the MCP server communicates via standard input and output, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using the MCP Inspector, which is provided as a package script:

npm run inspector

The inspector will provide a URL to access the debugging tools in a browser.

Device Setup

1. Enable USB debugging on the Android device:

   • Go to Settings > About phone
   • Tap the "Build number" seven times to enable developer options
   • Go to Settings > Developer options
   • Enable "USB debugging"

2. For network debugging:

   • Connect the device via USB first
   • Enable "Wireless debugging" in developer options
   • Use the connect_device tool with the device's IP address
