🚀 C++ MCP Server

A C++ implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) based on a plugin architecture.

* Resource templates are not yet supported.

📦 Installation

Clone the repository on your local machine

git clone https://github.com/peppemas/mcp_server.git

Compile the project

cd mcp_server
mkdir build
cd build
cmake ..
make

🚀 Quick Start

Core Components

• Resource Manager: Responsible for loading and managing resources for the Model Context Protocol.
• Hint System: Provides context - related hint functions.
• Toolkit: Contains various auxiliary tools for plugin development and debugging.

Execution Flow

1. Initialize the server and configure parameters.
2. Load necessary resources and plugins.
3. Listen for client connections and handle requests.
4. Perform operations of the context protocol as needed.
5. Generate results and return them to the client.

Plugin Extensibility

The MCP server supports function extension through plugins. Plugins can add new resources, hint types, and tools, thereby enhancing the server's capabilities.

• Weather Plugin: Integrates with a weather API to query weather information.
• Sleep Plugin: Implements an interface with a sleep monitoring service to analyze user sleep data.
• Code Review Plugin: Integrates a code review tool to provide real - time code checking.

⚠️ Important Note

In the "env" block, you can pass parameters to your plugins.

• Test on different MCP - clients (currently only tested on Claude Desktop).
