What is the Weather MCP Server?
This is an intelligent weather service system that can provide real-time weather data for any city in the world. It can be used as an extended function of AI assistants, enabling them to query weather information. How to use the Weather MCP Server?
You can directly ask about the weather through an AI assistant, or set up the service yourself and integrate it with an AI system. The system supports two modes: real-time API mode and mock data mode.Applicable scenarios
Suitable for scenarios such as individual users who need weather information, travel planning, outdoor activity arrangements, and smart home system integration.Main features
Real-time weather data
Connect to the OpenWeather API to obtain real-time weather information for global cities.
Mock data mode
Automatically use preset mock weather data when there is no API key.
Comprehensive weather information
Provide comprehensive weather data such as temperature, feels-like temperature, humidity, wind speed, sunrise and sunset.
Advantages
No need to directly access weather websites. You can obtain weather information through an AI assistant.
Supports offline mock mode. Basic functions can be used without an API key.
Fast response speed and standardized and unified data format.
Limitations
The real-time mode requires a valid OpenWeather API key.
The mock data mode only supports a limited number of cities (London, New York, Tokyo, Paris, Sydney).
Currently only supports current weather queries and does not support weather forecast functions.
