🚀 Workato MCP Server

Welcome to your Workato API integration toolkit, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed for Cursor or Claude. This project offers custom AI tools for seamless interaction with Workato's API.

Installation

npm install
# or
yarn install

Build the Server

npm run build

Add to Cursor

This project is designed to serve as an MCP server in Cursor. Here's how to set it up:

1. Open Cursor.
2. Navigate to "Cursor Settings" > "Features" > "MCP".
3. Click "+ Add New MCP Server".
4. Fill out the form:
   • Name: Workato MCP Server
   • Type: stdio
   • Command: node /path/to/your/project/dist/server.js
   • Environment Variables:
     • Click "Add Environment Variable".
     • Name: WORKATO_API_TOKEN
     • Value: Your Workato API token

Example Configuration

• If no configuration file is provided, the default port is 3000, and the default host is localhost.

Start the Server

After installation, run the following command in the project root directory:

npm run start

• Advanced filtering by resource and event type.

Tag Management

• Create, update, and delete tags in the workspace.
• List and retrieve available tags with advanced filtering options.
• Apply or remove tags on assets (recipes and connections).
• Support batch operations for multiple assets and tags.
• Filter tags by title, description, author, and usage.
• Sort tags by multiple criteria (title, usage count, etc.).
• Customize tag appearance with color options.

Basic Usage

Here are some basic commands to interact with different features:

Recipe Management

• workato list recipes: List all available Workato recipes.
• workato create recipe: Create a new Workato recipe.
• workato delete recipe --id <recipe_id>: Delete a recipe by its ID.

Connection Management

• workato list connections: List all connections.
• workato create connection: Create a new connection.
• workato update connection --name "<new_name>": Update the name of a connection.
• workato delete connection --id <connection_id>: Delete a connection by its ID.

Log Management

• workato list logs: List all log entries.
• workato get log --id <log_id>: Get detailed information about a specific log.
• workato delete log --id <log_id>: Delete a log by its ID.

Tag Management

• workato list tags: List all available tags.
• workato create tag: Create a new tag.
• workato update tag --name "<new_name>": Update the name of a tag.
• workato delete tag --id <tag_id>: Delete a tag by its ID.
