📦 Installation

Using Conda (Recommended)

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/myownipgit/RapidAPI-MCP.git
cd RapidAPI-MCP

2. Create and activate a conda environment:

# Create an environment from the yml file
conda env create -f environment.yml

# Activate the environment
conda activate rapidapi-mcp

Or create the environment manually:

# Create a new environment with Python 3.11
conda create -n rapidapi-mcp python=3.11

# Activate the environment
conda activate rapidapi-mcp

# Install the required packages
conda install -c conda-forge requests aiohttp python-dotenv pytest
pip install rapidapi-connect

3. Set up environment variables:

cp .env.example .env
# Edit the .env file as needed

Basic Usage

1. Initialize the MCP server:

from patent_mcp.server import MCPPatentServer

mcp_server = MCPPatentServer()

2. Handle a patent search request:

Testing

To run the tests, activate your conda environment and execute:

# Run the connection test
python tests/test_connection.py

# Run all tests using pytest
python -m pytest tests/

Project Structure

Requirements

• Python version: 3.11 or higher
• Install dependencies: Refer to environment.yml or use pip to install.

Scoring System

• pscore: Evaluates the overall score of a patent.
• cscore: Measures the technical complexity score.
• lscore: Evaluates the legal risk score.
• tscore: Analyzes the technical impact score.

Configuration

The environment variables required for the server to run:

• RAPIDAPI_KEY - Required, the RapidAPI access key.
• DB_PATH - Optional, default value is db.patent.

Rate Limiting

• Per minute: 100 requests
• Per hour: 6,000 requests
• Per day: Unlimited
