📦 Installation

Prerequisites

Install PostgreSQL

• Operating System Requirements:
  • Windows: PostgreSQL official download page
  • macOS: Install using Homebrew: brew install postgresql
  • Linux: Install according to the distribution, for example, on Debian/Ubuntu: sudo apt-get install postgresql postgresql-contrib

Enable the AGE Extension

1. Open the PostgreSQL database.
2. Run the following command to enable the AGE extension:

   CREATE EXTENSION age;
   

Installation Methods

Using brew (macOS only)

brew install age-mcp-server

Using uv

1. Download and install UV: UV official download page
2. Start UV and run the following command:

   uv age-mcp-server
   

Using a Python Virtual Environment

pip install age-mcp-server

Write Operations

AGE-MCP-Server prohibits write operations by default to ensure data security. If you need to enable write operations, add the --allow-write flag to the configuration.
