🚀 Language Duck Search Engine MCP Server

A TypeScript-based MCP server that implements a simple note-taking system. It demonstrates the core concepts of MCP in the following ways:

• Provides text note resources with URIs and metadata.
• Offers tools for creating new notes.
• Provides prompts for generating note summaries.

• Lists and accesses notes identified by note:// URIs.
• Each note contains a title, content, and metadata.
• Uses the plain text MIME type for simple content access.

Tools

• create_note - Creates a new text note.
  • Requires a title and content as parameters.
  • Stores the note in the server state.

Prompts

• summarize_notes - Generates summaries of all stored notes.
  • Includes all note content as embedded resources.
  • Returns structured prompts for large language model (LLM) summary generation.

📦 Installation

Install Dependencies

npm install

Build the Server

npm run build

Development with Automatic Rebuilding

npm run watch

Configuration for Claude Desktop

To use with Claude Desktop, add the following to the configuration file:

Debugging

Since MCP servers communicate via standard input and output, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using MCP Inspector, a tool provided as a package script:

npm run inspector

The Inspector will provide a URL to access browser debugging tools.
