🚀 MCP Notes Server

A simple MCP (Message Coordination Protocol) server that provides access to notes stored in ~/DocumentationGenerator/notes/.

🚀 Quick Start

📦 Installation

1. Make sure you have Python 3.7+ installed.
2. Create a virtual environment:

   python -m venv venv
   

3. Activate the virtual environment:
   • On macOS/Linux: source venv/bin/activate
   • On Windows: venv\Scripts\activate
4. Install the dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt
   

Start the Server

To start the MCP server:

python notes.py

This will start the server at http://0.0.0.0:8000.

✨ Features

The server exposes the following MCP commands:

• list_notes() - Get all notes.
• get_note(note_name) - Get a specific note by name.
• search(query, note_name=None) - Search notes by query string.

Note Format

Notes are stored as JSON files in the specified directory, using the following format:

Basic Usage

Here is a simple Python client example to connect to the MCP server:
