This software is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server based on nut.js, which enables comprehensive control over your screen, mouse, and keyboard.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Node.js 16 or higher
• npm or yarn
• cmake-js (for building native dependencies)

Steps

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/jasondsmith72/Total-PC-Control.git
cd Total-PC-Control

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Start the development environment:

npm run dev

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

To integrate this server into Claude for Desktop, follow these steps:

1. Open the C:\Users\<YourUsername>\.claude\config.js file (create it if it doesn't exist).
2. Add the following to the end of the file:

const pcControl = require('@jasondsmith72/total-pc-control');
pcControl.initialize();

3. Save the file and restart the Claude application.

Advanced Usage

Tool List

Basic Functions (All Platforms)

• Screen Capture:
  • captureScreen(): Capture the current screen.
  • captureRegion(x, y, width, height): Capture a specific region of the screen.
• Mouse Control:
  • mouseMove(x, y): Move the mouse pointer to the specified coordinates.
  • mouseClick(button='left'): Click the mouse (left or right).
  • mouseScroll(deltaX, deltaY): Scroll the mouse wheel.
• Keyboard Input:
  • typeText(text): Type text in the currently focused window.
  • sendKeys(keys): Send any combination of key events.
• Window Management:
  • getWindowInfo(): Get information about all open windows.
  • setWindowFocus(title): Set the specified window as the active window.
  • closeWindow(title): Close the specified window.

Advanced Functions (Windows Only)

• Clipboard Operations:
  • copyToClipboard(text): Copy text to the clipboard.
  • pasteFromClipboard(): Paste content from the clipboard.
  • getImageFromClipboard(): Get an image from the clipboard and return base64 data.
• Windows UI Automation Tools (PowerShell-Driven):
  • Element Information Query:
    • getUIElementInfo(windowTitle, options):
      • Return detailed information about controls within the specified window (name, AutomationId, class name, etc.).
      • Support partial window title matching.
      • Require at least one identifier (name, AutomationId, or class name).
  • Action Execution:
    • invokeUIAction(windowTitle, action, options):
      • Perform an action on the specified control (click, set value, or focus).
      • Support three action types: Click, SetValue, Focus.
      • Require a value parameter when the action is SetValue.
