📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Python 3.x
• uv package manager (recommended for building and environment management)
• Cursor IDE (for development)

Steps

1. Clone the repository:

git clone <repository-url>
cd mix-server

2. Create and activate a virtual environment using uv:

uv venv
source .venv/bin/activate  # On Unix/macOS
# Or
.venv\Scripts\activate  # On Windows

3. Install dependencies using uv:

uv pip install .

4. Set up Cursor configuration:

cp mcp_config.json.example ~/.cursor/mcp.json

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

The server provides the following functions:

• get_local_current_time(): Returns the current local time in the format "YYYY-MM-DD@HH:MM:SS".
• open_file_or_url_in_browser(target): Opens a file or URL in the default web browser.
  • Supports both local files and web URLs.
  • For URLs: Use the full URL with the protocol (e.g., "https://www.google.com").
  • For files: Use the local file path (relative or absolute).
  • Returns a message indicating the result of the operation.

To start the server:

uv run main.py

Development

• Local time zone: Asia/Shanghai
• Default time format: %Y-%m-%d@%H:%M:%S
