🚀 Anki-MCP Server

An MCP server integrated with Anki, interacting via the AnkiConnect plugin.

This is a TypeScript-based MCP server that demonstrates core MCP concepts, including:

• Resources: Access Anki decks and note models via anki://decks/{id} and anki://models/{id} URIs.
• Tools: Create and manage Anki notes.
• Integration: Connect with the AnkiConnect API.

  • Create multiple notes using specified parameters.

📦 Installation

To use it on Claude Desktop, add the server configuration:

💻 Development

Install dependencies:

npm install

Build the server:

npm run build

Development mode (auto-rebuild):

npm run watch

Debugging

Since the MCP server communicates via standard input and output, debugging can be difficult. We recommend using MCP Inspector, which is provided as a package script:

npm run inspector

The Inspector will provide a URL to access browser debugging tools.
