A professional Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables you to create, manage, and scale AI agents through a powerful prompt and tool management system. This server integrates with systemprompt.io to provide seamless system prompt creation, management, and version control.

📦 Installation

Install Dependencies

npm install

Build the Server

npm run build

Development Mode (Auto Rebuild)

Installation Instructions

Automatic Installation with Smithery

Automatically install SystemPrompt Agent via Smithery:

npx -y @smithery/cli install systemprompt-agent-server --client claude

Manual Installation

To manually configure, add the server configuration in the Claude desktop:

• MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

💻 Usage Examples

Debugging

Since the MCP server communicates via stdio, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using MCP Inspector, which is provided as a package script:

npm run inspector

The Inspector will provide a URL to access the debugging tools in the browser.

Testing

This project uses Jest for testing, supporting TypeScript and ESM (ECMAScript Modules).

Test Configuration

The test setup includes:

• Full TypeScript support with ESM modules
• Global fetch mocking
• Automatic test reset between each run
• Custom validation matchers
• Type-safe mocking tools

Module Resolution

The project uses a dual module resolution strategy:

• Source code: Uses ESM (ECMAScript Modules) with the .js extension
• Test files: Uses CommonJS for compatibility with Jest

This configuration is achieved through two TypeScript configuration files:

• tsconfig.json: Mainly for source code (ESM)
• tsconfig.test.json: Specifically for testing (CommonJS)
