Configuration

Before using the MCP server, please complete the following settings:

1. Preparation

1-1. 1Password CLI Setup

Install and run the 1Password desktop application. Install the 1Password CLI:

brew install 1password-cli

Enable CLI connection in 1Password (desktop application).

1-2. Obtain JIRA's API Token

Get the JIRA API token from here. Save the JIRA API token in 1Password.

2. Visual Studio Code Setup

Open the configuration file:

• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Code/User/globalStorage/saoudrizwan.claude-dev/settings/cline_mcp_settings.json
• Windows: %APPDATA%\Code\User\globalStorage\saoudrizwan.claude-dev\settings\cline_mcp_settings.json

Explanation of environment variables:

• JIRA_HOST: The host URL of JIRA.
• JIRA_EMAIL: The email address of the JIRA account.
• JIRA_API_TOKEN: The reference to the JIRA API token saved in 1Password.

It is assumed that the JIRA API token has been saved in 1Password. The path to the JIRA API Token in 1Password needs to be specified, which can be obtained by right - clicking on the field and copying.

The start-server.sh script will automatically resolve the environment variables using the 1Password CLI and start the server.
