📦 Installation

To use the Loki MCP Server, follow these steps:

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/your-repository.git
   cd loki-mcp-server
   

2. Build the binary (optional):

   go build -o loki-mcp-server ./cmd/server
   

3. Run the server:

   ./loki-mcp-server

Project Structure

• cmd/server: Contains the main program of the MCP server.
• internal/handlers/loki.go: Implements the Grafana Loki query function.
• internal/handlers/types.go: Defines the general types and interfaces for handlers.

Usage Instructions

Command-line Arguments

The Loki MCP Server supports the following command-line arguments:

• -config: Specify the path to the configuration file (default is config.json).
• -log.level: Set the log level (optional values: debug, info, warning, error).

💻 Usage Examples

1. Query Loki data:

   ./loki-mcp-server query --expr "{job=\"varlogs\"}"
   

2. Get Loki logs:

   ./loki-mcp-server logs -selector "job=varlogs"
   

Docker Support

Build the Image

Run the Container

docker build -t loki-mcp-server .
docker run -it loki-mcp-server

Integration with Claude Desktop

To use the Loki MCP Server in Claude Desktop, follow these steps:

1. Build the binary:

   go build -o loki-mcp-server ./cmd/server
   

2. Configuration file example (claude_desktop_config.json):
