🚀 MCP Server Based on MLB Stats API

This project offers an MCP (Multi-Channel Pipeline) server that serves as a wrapper for the MLB Stats API. It enables you to easily access and process various MLB data points, including schedules, game results, and team information. The server is designed for efficient data retrieval and processing within the MCP framework.

✨ Features

• Game Schedules: Retrieve MLB game schedules within a specified date range, with the option to filter by specific teams.
• Game Results: Obtain daily game results, including scores, winning and losing teams, and the winning pitcher.
• Team Results: Get detailed results of a specific team's most recent game, including scoring innings and highlights.
• Player Search: Find player IDs using the last name, first name, or a combination of both. Fuzzy matching is supported.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Python 3.10 or higher
• uv package manager:

If you are using a Mac, install uv as follows:

brew install uv

If you are using Windows:

powershell -c "irm https://astral.sh/uv/install.ps1 | iex"

Install via PyPI

The mcp_mlb_statsapi package is available on PyPI and can be installed via pip:

pip install mcp_mlb_statsapi

Install via GitHub

Alternatively, clone this repository and run it using the source code:
