A central manager that proxies all MCP servers.

Run via stdio using the following command and parameters:

npx binrun github.com/dstotijn/mcp-origin@latest

💻 Usage Examples

Available Tools

mcp-origin provides the following built - in tools:

search_mcp_servers

Search for available MCP servers that can be installed.

⚠️ Important Note

This tool is not yet implemented.

install_mcp_server

Install and connect to an MCP server. This tool requires the following parameters:

uninstall_mcp_server

Remove and disconnect from an MCP server in the configuration. This tool requires the following parameter:

refresh_tools

Refresh the list of tools from connected MCP servers. This tool accepts an optional parameter:

  "server_id": "foobar" // Optional: Only refresh tools from the specified server
}

Proxy Tools

All tools provided by connected MCP servers can be called with the serverID. prefix, where serverID is the unique identifier of the MCP server.

For example, if a server with the identifier foobar provides a tool named search, the tool will be listed and can be called via foobar.search.

⚙️ Command - Line Options

• --http: HTTP listening address (default: ":8080")
• --stdio: Enable stdio transport (default: true)
• --sse: Enable SSE transport (default: false)
• --config: Path to the configuration file (default: "~/.config/mcp-origin/mcp_origin_config.json")
