🚀 Model Context Protocol Server Example with Playwright

This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that uses Playwright to provide browser automation capabilities. This server enables large language models (LLMs) to interact with web pages, take screenshots, and execute JavaScript in a real browser environment.

This codebase uses Deno 2 due to its excellent ergonomics. You can compile it into a binary file and run it without any runtime dependencies.

This code is heavily based on the official Puppeteer MCP server, which you can find at: https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/servers/tree/main/src/puppeteer

📦 Installation

Currently, only the build of macOS binary files has been tested, but you should be able to build executable binary files for Linux x86_64, Linux ARM64, and Windows x86_64.

💻 Usage Examples

To invoke the playwright-server binary, you need to update the ~/Library/Application\ Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json file to point to the binary.
