🚀 Example Project Using Google ADK MCP

This project demonstrates how to build a Google ADK agent that interacts with the Repair World Application API (repair_world_application - specifically created for this demonstration) using an external MCP server.

This project is designed to be used in conjunction with a blog post and demonstration - 26. Simplest MCP Demo (including sample provider app, MCP server, and agent 🤖 code and instructions!)

1. ✅ Build an agent using Google ADK (Developer Kit).
2. 🔌 Connect this agent to an existing MCP server to utilize the features of repair_world_application (e.g., creating and viewing repair requests).

This agent uses the MCP server from the PyPI repository - mcp-server-repairworld.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Python 3.11+
• A running instance of repair_world_application.

Steps

1. Clone the repository and create a Python virtual environment

git clone https://github.com/your-username/google-adk-mcp.git
cd google-adk-mcp

# Create a Python virtual environment
python -m venv .venv
. .venv/bin/activate # For Windows users, run .venv\Scripts\activate

2. Install dependencies

pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Run the agent (Agent Web Interface)

Ensure that repair_world_application is running. Access http://localhost:8000 to get the agent UI.

adk web

3. Run the agent (Agent Console Interface)

Ensure that repair_world_application is running.

python agent-repairworld.py

At this point, the agent should be able to call the tools exposed by the MCP server to: 🔧 Create a repair request 📄 List all repair requests 🔍 View a repair request by ID
