🚀 Vidu Video Generation API's Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server

This is an MCP server designed to interact with the Vidu video generation API. The server offers a powerful tool for generating videos from images.

The MCP server is ready to accept connections from MCP clients after startup. Here's how to get started:

1. Build the TypeScript code:

npm run build

2. Start the server:

npm start

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Node.js (v14 or higher)
• Vidu API key (available from the Vidu official website)
• TypeScript (for development)

Steps

1. Clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/el-el-san/vidu-mcp-server.git
cd vidu-mcp-server

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Create a .env file based on .env.template and add your Vidu API key:

VIDU_API_KEY=your_api_key_here

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

1. Image-to-Video

Convert static images to videos with customizable parameters.

Parameters:

• image_url (required): The URL of the image to be converted to a video.
• prompt (optional): A text prompt for video generation (maximum 1500 characters).
• duration (optional): The duration of the output video (4 or 8 seconds, default is 4).
• model (optional): The name of the model used for generation ("vidu1.0", "vidu1.5", "vidu2.0", default is "vidu2.0").
• resolution (optional): The resolution of the output video ("360p", "720p", "1080p", default is "720p").
• movement_amplitude (optional): The movement amplitude of objects in the frame ("auto", "small", "medium", "large", default is "auto").
• seed (optional): A random seed for reproducibility.

2. Check Generation Status

Check the status of a video generation task.

Parameters:

• task_id (required): The task ID returned by the image-to-video tool.

3. Upload Images

Upload an image file to the server.

Parameters:

• image_file (required): The image file to be uploaded.

Troubleshooting

Problem 1: Unable to start the server

• Ensure that Node.js is correctly installed and meets the version requirements.
• Check that the package.json file exists and all dependencies are correctly installed.

Problem 2: Unable to generate videos

• Ensure that the Vidu API key is correctly set in the .env file.
• Check your network connection to ensure access to the Vidu API service.
