🚀 Self-hosted Sentry MCP Server

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed specifically for interacting with self-hosted Sentry instances.

This server provides tools for retrieving information and performing operations on issues within a self-hosted Sentry environment. It reads the Sentry instance URL, authentication token, and organization identifier (slug) from environment variables.

This server offers a set of tools to interact with a self-hosted Sentry instance, allowing users to retrieve information about issues, projects, and events, as well as perform actions such as updating issue status and adding comments.

📦 Installation

1. Clone/Place the Project: Clone this repository or place its project files in your chosen location.
2. Install Dependencies: Navigate to the project directory (sentry-selfhosted-mcp) and run:

cd <path/to/sentry-selfhosted-mcp>
npm install

3. Build the Server: Compile the TypeScript code from the project directory:

npm run build

This will create executable JavaScript files in the build/ directory.

Available Tools

The following tools are available:

1. get_sentry_issue
   • Description: Retrieve detailed information about a specific Sentry issue by ID or URL.
   • Input: { "issue_id_or_url": "string" } (e.g., "12345" or "https://sentry.example.com/organizations/org/issues/12345/")
2. list_sentry_projects
   • Description: List all projects in the configured Sentry organization.
   • Input: {} (no parameters required)
3. list_sentry_issues
   • Description: List issues by project, with optional filtering query or status.
   • Input: { "project_slug": "string", "query": "string" (optional), "status": "resolved" | "unresolved" | "ignored" (optional) }
4. get_sentry_event_details
   • Description: Retrieve detailed information about a specific event ID in a project.

5. update_sentry_issue_status
   • Description: Update the status of a Sentry issue.
