📦 Installation

Installation via Smithery

To automatically install Needle MCP for Claude Desktop via Smithery:

npx -y @smithery/cli install needle-mcp --server-id=your-server-id

Manual Installation

1. Clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/your-username/needle-mcp.git
cd needle-mcp
npm install

🔧 Technical Details

Resetting Claude Desktop Configuration

If you see old configurations or the integration is not working:

1. Find all Claude Desktop configuration files:

find / -name "claude_desktop_config.json" 2>/dev/null

2. Delete all Claude Desktop data:

• On MacOS: rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Claude/*
• On Windows: Delete the contents in %APPDATA%/Claude/.

3. Create a new configuration containing only Needle:

mkdir -p ~/Library/Application\ Support/Claude

4. Completely quit Claude Desktop (Command + Q on Mac) and restart it.

5. If you still see old configurations:

• Check other locations for additional configuration files.
• Try clearing the browser cache (if using the web version).
• Verify that the configuration file is read from the correct location.
