📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Python 3.6 or higher.
• Go (version 1.16 or higher).

Windows-specific Requirements

For Windows users, additional configuration is required:

1. Install Go:

   • Download Go from the official website.
   • Run the installer.
   • Add Go to the system PATH if it's not added automatically.
   • Verify the installation by running go version in the command prompt.

2. Enable CGO:

   • Open the command prompt and run: go env -w CGO_ENABLED=1.

3. Install a C compiler:

   • Download and install MSYS2.
   • Open MSYS2 and run: pacman -S mingw-w64-x86_64-gcc.
   • Add C:\msys64\mingw64\bin to the system PATH.

Steps

1. Clone this repository:

git clone [your-repository-url]
cd whatsapp-python

2. Install the required dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

1. Navigate to the project directory:

cd whatsapp-bridge

2. Run the WhatsApp proxy program:

go run main.go
# This will start the WhatsApp mcp server

3. On the first run, you need to:

   • Scan the QR code using the WhatsApp mobile app.
   • Wait for the authentication to complete.
   • Keep your phone connected to the internet.

4. To send a message, use the following format:

python whatsapp_message.py
# This will run the AI and connect via our mcp
send message to "Recipient's Name" "Your Message"

For example: send message to chau say hi / # Remember to manually add contacts in the json to load them

Advanced Usage

The application works as follows:

1. Automate a web browser session.
2. Connect to WhatsApp Web.
3. Authenticate via QR code (only on the first run).
4. Find the recipient among your contacts.
5. Send the specified message using ollam.

Important Notes

• Keep the WhatsApp mobile app connected to the internet.
• Do not close the server window in the terminal.
• Ensure that the recipient is in your WhatsApp contacts.
• Sessions need to be re-authenticated periodically, e.g., every 20 days.
• For Windows users, make sure CGO is enabled and the C compiler is configured correctly.

1. Ensure a stable internet connection.
