This is an example Docker image for the mcpo tool, which exposes the MCP (Model Context Protocol) server as an OpenAPI-compatible HTTP endpoint for OpenWebUI.

🚀 Quick Start

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/alephpiece/mcpo-docker.git
cd mcpo-docker

# Copy the example files and edit them as needed.
cp config.example.json config.json
cp docker-compose.example.yml docker-compose.yml

# Create the container and wait for the server to start.
# It may take some time if a large number of servers are enabled.
docker compose up -d

Alternatively, you can build the Docker image directly from the source code.

docker build -t mcpo .

Connect OpenWebUI to Your Server

Refer to OpenAPI Tool Servers for detailed information.

1. Open OpenWebUI > Settings > Tools
2. Add a connection http://localhost:8000/memory
3. Check the available tools on the chat page

With mcpo, each MCP server gets a separate endpoint. For example:

• http://localhost:8000/sequential-thinking
• http://localhost:8000/memory
• http://localhost:8000/time
