Source code from alephpiece. This is an example Docker image for mcpo, a tool that exposes MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers as OpenAPI-compatible HTTP endpoints for OpenWebUI.

🚀 Quick Start

Pull the repository and set up the environment

# Pull the repository
git clone https://github.com/lkoujiu/mcpo-docker.git
cd mcpo-docker

# Copy the example files and edit them as needed.
cp config.example.json config.json
cp docker-compose.example.yml docker-compose.yml

# Create the container and wait for the server to start.
# It may take some time if a large number of servers are enabled.
docker compose up -d

Build the Docker image from source code

docker build -t mcpo .

Connect OpenWebUI to your server

💡 Usage Tip

For more details, please refer to OpenAPI Tool Servers.

1. Open OpenWebUI > Settings > Tools
2. Add the connection http://localhost:8000/memory
3. Check the available tools on the chat page

With mcpo, each MCP server gets a separate endpoint. For example:

• http://localhost:8000/sequential-thinking
• http://localhost:8000/memory
• http://localhost:8000/time
