This repository provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that offers several commands for generating prompts based on the content of a Git repository.

(This repository draws a great deal of inspiration from the MarkItDown MCP Server and the example Git MCP Server.)

1. Clone this repository.
2. Install dependencies: uv sync --frozen

As an MCP Server for Zed Editor

Add the following to your settings.json:

Commands

The server responds to the following commands:

• /generate-pr-desc <ancestor_branch_or_commit>: Generate a PR description based on the differences between HEAD and the ancestor branch or commit.

Example:

/generate-pr-desc main
