🚀 MCP - Model Context Protocol

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a protocol developed by the AI company Anthropic. It allows users to interact with AI models more efficiently. This project currently supports integration with Claude Desktop and VSCode and is open - source.

📦 Installation

System Requirements

• Operating System: Windows 10 or later.
• Memory: At least 4GB RAM.
• Storage Space: At least 500MB of available space.

Installation Steps

1. Install Python:
   • Download and install the latest version of Python (it is recommended to use version 3.x).
   • Set the Python environment variables.
2. Install Claude Desktop:
   • Visit the Download Link to download Claude Desktop.
   • Follow the installation wizard to complete the installation.
3. Install VSCode:
   • Visit the VSCode official website to download and install the latest version of VSCode.
   • After installation, open VSCode for configuration.
4. Install the uv package:
   • Open the VSCode terminal and run the following command:

     pip install uv
     

5. Create a virtual environment (optional):
   • Create and activate a virtual environment in the project directory:

     python -m venv venv
     source venv/bin/activate  # On Windows, use `venv\Scripts\activate`
     

6. Configure Claude Desktop:
   • Open Claude Desktop, press Ctrl + , to open the settings.
   • Switch to the Developer tab and click Edit Configuration File.
   • Add the following content to the claude_desktop_config.json file:

       "command": "uv",
       "args": [
         "--directory",
         "C://Users//meu_usuario//OneDrive//area_de_trabalho//mapas_mentais",
         "run",
         "server.py"
       ]
     }
     

   • Save the file and restart Claude Desktop.
7. Install project dependencies:
   • In the project directory, open the terminal and run:

     pip install -r requirements.txt
     

💻 Usage Examples

Shortcuts

• Ctrl + ,: Open the settings interface of Claude Desktop.
• Ctrl + S: Save the current configuration file.

Configuration Example

Add the following content to claude_desktop_config.json:
