A Python client for integrating with the Eventor orienteering API, providing access to event, competitor, and result data.

This Eventor API Client is a Python - based tool designed to integrate with the Eventor orienteering API. It enables users to access a wide range of data related to events, competitors, and results.

• Access event results, competitor, and organization information.
• Configurable caching system to reduce API calls.
• Integration with MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for AI assistants.
• Three tools are provided for the MCP server:
  • get_weekly_club_results(): Retrieve weekly club competition results, which can be used for LLM to summarize and generate reports.
  • get_personal_events(): Fetch personal event information based on a given personId (from the configuration file) and a time range.
  • get_detailed_result_for_event_and_person(): Obtain detailed competition results for a specific event and personId (from the configuration file).
• Perform some parsing and attempt to present data in an LLM - friendly format.
• Debug mode allows the client to run independently and generate JSON output for review.
• Configurable API keys and personId to ensure secure access.

📦 Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/grapatin/eventor-mcp-server.git
cd eventor-mcp-server

2. Create a virtual environment:

uv venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate  # For Windows, use: .venv\Scripts\activate

3. Install dependencies:

uv pip install -r requirements.txt

4. Configure the API key:

cp eventor_config_example.py eventor_config.py
# Edit the API key, personId, and other settings in the eventor_config.py file according to actual information

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

To debug, run the client in debug mode. It includes a __main__ function that can run in an independent environment and generate a result JSON file for review.

python -m eventor

Advanced Usage

Install the MCP server for Claude

Add the following content to cluade_desktopr_config.json:

📚 Documentation

Configuration

Configuration is done through the eventor_config.py file. This file contains sensitive information and should be added to .gitignore to avoid exposure through version control. Add your Eventor API key (contact the Eventor administrator to obtain it) and your own personId (which can be found in the output JSON file) to the file.
