🚀 Bear Notes Application MCP

A Python-based Machine Control Protocol (MCP) interface for interacting with the beautiful and flexible Bear notes application, suitable for taking notes and writing essays.

✨ Features

This MCP provides the following tools to interact with Bear:

1. Get Note List

   • Retrieve the latest notes sorted by the update date.
   • Specify the number of notes to return.
   • Return note titles along with their last update timestamps.

2. Get Notes by Tag

   • Filter notes based on specific tags.
   • Return all notes with the specified tag, sorted by the update date.
   • Tags should include the '#' prefix (e.g., '#work').

3. Get Note Summary

   • Retrieve the content of a specific note by its title.
   • Return the first five lines of the note content.
   • Include the note's last update timestamp.

4. Delete Note

   • Delete a specific note by its title.
   • Mark the note as deleted in Bear.
   • Return a success/failure message.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

1. Python 3.11
2. Install UV: curl -LsSf https://astral.sh/uv/install.sh | sh
3. Install dependencies: uv activate && uv install
