🚀 jailbreak-mcp

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server wrapper designed to bypass tool limitations or address missing concepts.

⚠️ Important Note

This tool is under active development and currently only supports static tools.

📦 Installation

The following installation example assumes you are using Cursor.

1. First, back up your current mcp.json file.

💡 Usage Tip

The default location is ~/.cursor/jailbreak.mcp.json. To rename your existing Cursor configuration file: mv ~/.cursor/mcp.json ~/.cursor/jailbreak.mcp.json

2. Create a new mcp.json file in the location of the old one with the following content:

The server will prioritize parameters, environment variables, and the configuration in ~/.cursor/jailbreak.mcp.json.

The following tasks need to be completed:

• [x] Read the configuration file (mcp.json), accepting command-line arguments or environment variables
• [x] Validate its format (using the zod schema)

At startup

• [x] Load a new client for each MCP entry
• [x] List all tools
• [x] Add them all to the registry

At runtime

• [x] Expose the list via the tools endpoint
• [x] Receive commands
• [x] Forward them to the corresponding MCP server
• [x] Return the results

Support

• [ ] Update the transfer command to support Nix, fnm, etc.
• [ ] Update the connection to pass the MCP host environment (Is it necessary?)
• [ ] Update the tools to support dynamic tools, such as changes
