📝 Required Environment Variables

• TRELLO_API_KEY: Your Trello API key, obtained from the Trello Developer Website.

Basic Usage

Here are the main functions provided by the server:

1. Create a Board

Create a new Trello board.

mcp trello create-board --name "My New Board"

• --name: Specify the name of the board.

2. Delete a Board

Delete a specified Trello board.

• --board-id: The unique identifier of the board to be deleted.

3. Create a List

Create a new list on a specified board.

4. Delete a List

⚠️ Rate Limiting

This server implements Trello's API rate - limiting policy:

• Each API key allows a maximum of 300 requests per 10 seconds.
• Each token allows a maximum of 100 requests per 10 seconds. Requests that exceed the limit will be automatically queued for processing, ensuring that you won't be affected by rate limits.

🚫 Error Handling

The server provides the following error - handling mechanisms:

• Input Validation Errors: When input parameters do not meet the requirements, detailed validation error messages are returned.
• API Errors: When a Trello API call fails, an exception with the original error message is caught and re - thrown.
• Network Errors: When a network problem occurs, the error is logged, and a re - connection attempt is made on the next try.
