🚀 Implementation of Local Server Proxy and Client Based on MCP

This project implements a local server proxy and client based on MCP, offering a variety of useful features and technical advantages.

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

• Python: Version 3.6 or higher
• Node.js (optional): For certain extended features
• Chrome Browser: For web-related operations
• Camera: For image and video processing
• Memory: It is recommended to have 4GB or more
• CUDA Graphics Card (optional): To accelerate AI-related tasks

Installation Steps

1. Clone the code repository:

   git clone [repository URL]
   cd mcp-server
   

2. Create and activate a virtual environment:
   • Windows:

     python -m venv env
     .\env\Scripts\activate
     

   • Linux/MacOS:

     python -m venv env
     source env/bin/activate
     

3. Install dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt
   

4. Configure environment variables. Edit the .env file and add the following content:

   DASHSCOPE_API_KEY=your_api_key_here
   MODEL_NAME=gpt-3.5-turbo
   CHROME_PATH=/path/to/chrome
   

Basic Usage

1. Run the proxy server:

   python -m mcp.proxy.start_proxy
   

2. Start the client:

   python -m mcp.client.start_client
   

3. Example commands:
   • Query weather: client.weather("Shanghai")
   • Generate an image: client.image.generate("A cute kitten")
