Bouyomi MCP Nodejs

🚀 Bouyomi-chan MCP Server (Node.js Version)

This server uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to provide an AI assistant with a text - to - speech function using Bouyomi-chan (Yukkuri Voice). This project is implemented in Node.js/TypeScript.

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

1. Install Node.js version 16 or higher.
2. Ensure that the npm version is 7 or higher.
3. Bouyomi-chan should be correctly installed, and its HTTP interface service should be running on port 50080.

Installation

1. Clone this repository:

   git clone https://github.com/uraoz/bouyomichan-mcp-nodejs.git
   cd bouyomichan-mcp-nodejs
   

2. Install dependencies:

   npm install
   

3. Compile the code:

   npm run build
   

Starting the Server

npm start

Integration with Claude for Desktop

To connect this server to Claude for Desktop, follow these steps:

1. Open the configuration file of Claude for Desktop:
   • MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
   • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
2. Add the following content to the file (replace the path with the absolute path of the actual server startup script):

3. Restart Claude for Desktop for the configuration to take effect.
