Davinci Resolve MCP

🚀 DaVinci Resolve MCP Integration Project

This project is an implementation of the MCP protocol for integrating an AI assistant with DaVinci Resolve. It allows AI assistants to directly control and automate the workflows of DaVinci Resolve.

🚀 Quick Start

Getting Started Guide

1. Install Dependencies:

   • Ensure that Python 3.8 or a higher version is installed on your system.
   • Run pip install -r requirements.txt to install all necessary libraries.

2. Set Environment Variables (Linux/macOS only):

   export PYTHONPATH="${PYTHONPATH}:/path/to/your/project"
   

3. Start the Server:

   • Execute the command python src/main.py to start the MCP server.

📦 Installation

Installation via Script

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/samuelgursky/davinci-resolve-mcp.git
   cd davinci-resolve-mcp
   

2. Run the setup script:

   ./setup.sh
   

3. After installation, run:

   ./run-now.sh
   

Manual Installation

1. Download and extract the source code.
2. Add the project to the Python path.
3. Run pip install -r requirements.txt to install dependencies.

💻 Usage Examples

General Steps

1. Start DaVinci Resolve.
2. Start the MCP server: python src/main.py
3. Configure the MCP connection parameters in the AI assistant.

Common Issues

• Problem: An error occurs during connection.
• Solution: Check the firewall settings to ensure that the port is open.

Basic Usage

Troubleshooting

• Problem: The server fails to start.
