🚀 Slack MCP Project Documentation

Slack MCP is an integration tool designed to connect real-time communication with the toolchain (MCP) through Server-Sent Events (SSE) or HTTP. This tool supports multiple functions, including real-time log output, task execution status monitoring, environment variable management, and Slack team notification integration.

📦 Installation

To use Slack MCP, follow these installation steps:

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/yourusername/slack-mcp.git
   cd slack-mcp
   

2. Dependency management:

   • Go project:

     go mod tidy
     

   • Python project:

     pip install -r requirements.txt
     

3. Build the tool:

   make build
   

4. Run the service:

   • Development mode:

     go run main.go --mode dev
     

   • Production environment:

     go run main.go --mode production

Configuration Options

Slack MCP provides the following configuration options, which can be set via the command line or a configuration file:

Output Format

Slack MCP offers Slack formatting output functionality, supporting the following formats:

• Automatic format detection: Automatically identify the text type (plain text, Markdown, JSON block structure, etc.) and apply the appropriate format.
• Markdown formatting: Support Slack's mrkdwn syntax and convert standard Markdown to a format suitable for Slack.

Transmission Modes

Slack MCP supports three transmission modes:

1. SSE (default): Use Server-Sent Events for real-time communication.
2. HTTP: Conduct JSON-RPC communication via HTTP POST requests.
3. stdio: Use standard input and output for local development and testing.
