MCP Whatsapp Server

🚀 WhatsApp Server Based on MCP Protocol

A server based on Model Context Protocol (MCP) for integrating with WhatsApp via the Waha API.

🚀 Quick Start

This server enables MCP-compatible AI assistants (such as Claude) to directly interact with contacts on WhatsApp. The project uses the Waha API as the backend to communicate with WhatsApp Web.

📦 Installation

1. Clone this repository:

   git clone https://github.com/seu-usuario/mcp-whatsapp-server.git
   cd mcp-whatsapp-server
   

2. Install the dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt
   

3. Configure environment variables in the .env file:

   WAHA_API_URL=http://localhost:3000
   WAHA_SESSION_ID=default
   CONTATOS_FILE=caminho/para/contatos.json (optional)
   

4. Configure your contacts in the contatos.json file:

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

1. Start the Waha API according to the official instructions.
2. Run the MCP server:

   python server.py
   

3. Interact with the server using a compatible MCP client (such as Claude Desktop).

• verificar_conexao_whatsapp() - Verify the current WhatsApp connection status.
