This is a PHP MCP (Model Context Protocol) server used to integrate PHP into Anthropic's Claude AI. Implemented based on the official SDK MCP, it provides a compatible and reliable solution.

📋 System Requirements

• Node.js (v14 or higher).
• PHP (v7.0 or higher).

📦 Installation

Global Installation (Recommended)

npm install -g php-mcp-protocol-server

After installation, you can start the server with the following command:

php-mcp-server

Local Installation via npm

npm install php-mcp-protocol-server

💻 Usage Examples

Check PHP Environment

Before starting, make sure PHP is installed correctly:

npm run verify

Start the Server

npm start

By default, the server will listen for requests on port 7654. You can change the port number by setting the environment variable MCP_PORT.

Integrate with Claude AI

1. Start the PHP MCP server.
2. In the Claude Desktop application, configure to use the local tool MCP and select the address localhost:7654.
3. Now you can directly execute PHP code in Claude!

API MCP Interfaces

The server provides two MCP tools:

executePhp

Execute the given PHP code and return the output.

Parameters:

• code (string): The PHP code to be executed.

Return Values:

• output (string): The output after code execution.
• error (string, optional): Error information (if any).
• exitCode (number, optional): The exit status code of the PHP process.

phpInfo

Return detailed information about the PHP environment.

Parameters: None

Return Values:

• info (string): Information about the PHP environment, including version, extensions, and configuration.

🔧 Troubleshooting

If the server fails to start or an error occurs, follow these steps:

1. Confirm that PHP is installed and correctly added to the system PATH.
2. Confirm that port 7654 (or other specified ports) is available.
3. Check the server logs for detailed error information.
