📦 Installation

Installation via Smithery

To automatically install the MarkItDown MCP server via Smithery to run on the Claude desktop version:

npx -y @smithery/cli install @KorigamiK/markitdown_mcp_server --client claude

Manual Installation

1. Clone this repository.
2. Install the dependencies:

uv install

As an MCP Server

This server can be integrated with any MCP client. Here are some examples:

Add the following to your settings.json file:
