🚀 Distri: A Composable Agent Framework

Distri is a framework for building and combining artificial intelligence agents, written in Rust. It enables developers to create, publish, and integrate various agent capabilities based on the MCP (Multi-Agent Communication Protocol) standard.

🚀 Quick Start

Distri agents can be configured and run in two ways:

1. YAML Configuration

2. Rust Script (Advanced workflow, coming soon)

Let's explore how to run distri through an example configuration file.

List agents:

distri list -c samples/config.yaml

You can run github_explorer using the following command:

distri run -c samples/config.yaml github_explorer

📦 Installation

You can install Distri in two ways:

Using Cargo

cargo install --git https://github.com/distrihub/distri distri --locked

Using Docker

docker run -it distrihub/distri

Distri agents also provide a convenient agent for running standard input-output commands.

🔌 AI Gateway

Distri connects to the Langdb AI Gateway and supports over 250 large language models. For more details, please visit Langdb AI Gateway.

📚 What is MCP?

MCP (Multi-Agent Communication Protocol) is a standardized protocol that allows agents to:

• Communicate with each other in a structured manner.
• Share capabilities and tools.
• Collaborate to execute tasks.
• Handle state management and coordination.

Through MCP, any agent can be published as a reusable tool for other agents, creating a sustainably expandable ecosystem of agent capabilities.
