An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that uses Chrome's existing login sessions to fetch Instagram posts.

Prerequisites

Ensure you have Node.js and npm installed on your system.

Installation

1. Install dependencies:

npm install

2. Build the server:

npm run build

3. Start the server:

CHROME_USER_DATA_DIR=/path/to/chrome/profile npm start

Configuration

The server requires the following environment variables:

• CHROME_USER_DATA_DIR: Path to the Chrome user data directory containing the login session.

In addition, other configuration options can be set through the configuration manager:

• Browser Settings: Viewport, timeout.
• Instagram Settings: Delay time, batch size.
• Save Directory and File Paths: Directory and paths for saving files.

💻 Usage Examples

get_instagram_posts

Fetch recent posts from an Instagram profile.

Parameters:

• username (Required): Instagram username to fetch posts from.
• limit (Optional): Number of posts to fetch (1 - 50) or "all".
• saveDir (Optional): Directory to save media files and metadata.
• delayBetweenPosts (Optional): Delay time between processing posts (in milliseconds).
