Creating a Multi-Arch Image for arm64 and amd64

Enabling Docker Buildx

Buildx is an experimental feature of the Docker CLI used for building multi-architecture images. It is included in modern Docker versions.

Check if Buildx is installed:

docker buildx version

If Buildx is not installed, update Docker or enable experimental features in your Docker configuration file.

Create a new builder instance:

docker buildx create --use --name multiarch-builder
docker buildx inspect --bootstrap

This command sets up a Buildx builder that supports multi-architecture builds.

Building and Pushing the Multi-Arch Image

Follow these steps to build and push the image to Docker Hub:

Log in to Docker Hub (if not already logged in):

docker login

Build and push the image for multiple platforms:

docker buildx build --platform linux/amd64,linux/arm64 -t tzolov/mcp-everything-server:v1 --push .
