A TypeScript-based MCP server that implements a simple note-taking system. This server demonstrates core MCP concepts, including:

• Resources: List and access text notes with titles and metadata via note:// URIs.
• Tools: Create new notes.

🚀 Quick Start

Development

Install dependencies:

npm install

Build the server:

npm run build

Develop with automatic rebuilds:

npm run watch

Installation

To use on Claude Desktop, add the server configuration:

On MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json On Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Debugging

Since MCP servers communicate via standard input and output, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using MCP Inspector, a tool provided as a package script:

npm run inspector

The Inspector will provide a URL to access the debugging tools. Open it in your browser.
